Our pension Thaller is located next to the hotel directly on the slope (in the map well visible).

Breakfast and dinner and all other amenities such as: panorama indoor swimming pool, Wellness World with sauna, steam bath, hydrotherapy facilities, rest room, fountain with Grander water, billiards, darts, etc. are for free use in the hotel. Solarium, massage and different baths in our wooden bathtub can be booked for a fee.

Typing errors, interim sales and changes in price are reserved. Other room categories/seasons with package rates on request and availability.

You may pay for your stay in wintertime with either Cash, Bank Card. Receive a discount when you pre pay your stay before your arrival by bank transfer.

Our pension Thaller is located next to the hotel and directly next to the "Flying Mozart", the Mountain Bike Park, the tennis courts and the Adventure Water World Amadé. In Winter, our hotel is only a few meters away from the skiing courts (in the map well visible).

Breakfast and all other amenities such as: panorama indoor swimming pool, Wellness World with sauna, steam bath, hydrotherapy facilities, rest room, fountain with Grander water, billiards, darts, etc. are for free use in the hotel. Solarium, massage and different baths in our wooden bathtub can be booked for a fee.

All rates per person/night with two paying persons in the room incl. breakfast buffet plus taxes and other charges. Plus local taxes € 1,10 per adult per night (from 15 years). Free use of the Wellness area and indoor swimming pool. You have your breakfast directly in the Aktiv & Family Hotel Alpina.

Today, Saint Nicholas will be coming to the Advent Market on market square – his horse-drawn coach filled with small treats for the expectant children. The adults will enjoy delicious foods prepared in our farmhouse kitchens, homemade punch and the great gift ideas made by local craftsmen. The kids can even bake their own cookies in the Children’s Bakery.

On Saint Nicholas’ Day, Kleinarl keeps a very special tradition. Saint Nicholas and his dark companions, the Krampusses, visit all the families of the village. The kids will be rewarded for waiting patiently once Saint Nicholas arrives – rest assured of that!

6 pm – Walking through Advent
A group hike by torchlight including prayers on the way to lake Jägersee. Here you will experience the magic of Advent, far removed from the hectic activity that is so typical of the big cities on December 8: Traditional folk customs are kept alive and well in Kleinarl – thanks to the dedication of so many volunteer helpers.
ca. 6:30 pm: Prayer gathering at the wayside altar on lake Jägersee interspersed with live music. The event winds down with a pleasant get-together at Gasthof Jägersee.

from 6 pm – “Castle Lights” 
Torchlight walk to Wagrain’s “Castle Hill” with appropriate musical accompaniment. In the glow of the castle lights, you will be able to sample delicious Christmas bakery items, homemade spiced wine and punch. The Lantern Dance by kindergarteners and the Light Dance by Wagrain middle-schoolers promise delightful entertainment in keeping with the occasion.

8 pm – Advent Concert of Cultures followed by an outdoor market
Advent concert with the Wagrain church choir as well as Volkschor Stollberg (a choir from Germany) and musical ensembles from this year’s guest countries, Armenia and Hungary. At the “Naschmarkt” market on the Kirchboden afterwards, delicious Christmas foods from the guest countries are featured alongside regional favorites from Wagrain.

2-6 pm – Christ-Child Post Office
It isn’t just philatelists who take advantage of the opportunity to send their Christmas letters with the special “Silent Night Wagrain” stamp attached. When the Waggerl Museum becomes a Christmas post office on this day, all of Wagrain shows up. Also the ideal opportunity to pay a visit to the permanent exhibition there, “Joseph Mohr – the vicar of Wagrain”.

4 pm - Advent of Cultures
Totally in keeping with the spirit of “Silent Night Wagrain”, at the Advent Market in the Kirchboden section of Wagrain we encounter regional products, foods and craftsmanship from Wagrain and this year’s guest countries. Aside from Armenia and Hungary, the focus is also on Germany’s “Erzgebirge” region: lace makers, carvers and glass blowers demonstrate their skills, while Christmas gift ideas such as scented candles, artistic woods, textiles and ceramics are all offered for sale. And you simply have to try some of the gingerbread, Stollberger Stollen (Christmas bread), hot spiced wine and exquisite cookies. The kids can even make their own cookies in the Children’s Bakery.

At the Kogelalm high above town, holidaymakers and locals will be able to sit down together for a pleasant lunch, all the while listening to reflective texts from author Karl Heinrich Waggerl (reader: Herbert Gmeiner). Musical accompaniment is provided by Tennkogelmusi.

3 pm – Reflective Advent Walk
From the mid station of the Flying Mozart, we will set out on a romantic winter walk to the Farm Museum.
Where: Meets 3 pm at the Flying Mozart mid station.
5 pm – “Herbergsuche” and seasonal wind music 
Christmas, as traditional as it gets: The “Herbergsuche”, a Christmas folk tradition revolving around the holy family’s search for shelter, will be performed at the Farm Museum.
6 pm - Reading
Evocative Christmas texts by Karl Heinrich Waggerl, read by Herbert Gmeiner. The readings will be interspersed with music performed by the zither ensemble from Musikum Altenmarkt.
Prices for the walk, Herbergsuche and reading:
• incl. a small snack at the Edelweissalm, ride up the mountain on the Flying Mozart lift or by taxi, taxi drive back down to the valley afterwards: Euro 18 per person.

“An old-fashioned Christmas” awaits visitors to this small, precious gem of an Advent market in Wagrain. Products and exhibitors exclusively from this region conjure up a unique Christmas flavor. In the Children’s Bakery, the kids get together to bake and decorate cookies – the youngsters’ eyes will beam with delight, guaranteed.

Spiced wine, punch for the kids and sizzling sausages will definitely keep you warm as you stroll from one market stand to the next. Wind ensembles, children from Kleinarl performing Christmas songs and reading texts, all contribute to creating the perfect ambience for this event. At the Advent market, you will discover delicious products from area farms, traditional arts & crafts, and even gift items for a good cause. All proceeds of craft items sold at the ClownDoctors stand will go the charity of the same name.

7 pm – Advent Singing
The crowning conclusion of Advent Magic in Kleinarl with the Kleinarl church choir, children dressed as shepherds, wind music, family folk music, male vocal duo and trio. Locals and vacationers are able to get in the perfect Christmas frame of mind together.
