Full-day hikes - Grafenberg

Hike from Alm to Alm on a full-day hike from the top station of the Grafenberg cable car.

Via Gabel (Kitzstein), 2,037 m, to Kleinarler Hut, No. 713 and 712, 3 hours

Descend from the mountain station to Hachaualm, via AV-Weg No. 713 to the crossroads at Sonntagskogel, turn left, AV-Weg No. 712 to the Auhofalm (not managed). Via AV-Steig No. 712 steeply to the summit, sure-footedness and freedom from dizziness necessary. Magnificent panorama at the summit. Just below the summit, descend over the flank (secured with steel rope) and descend over alpine pastures to kleinarler Hütte. Abstieg to Kleinarl.

Over the Wandneralm to the Kleinarler Hut, 4 hours

From the mountain station via AV-Wege no. 713 and 712 to the Auhofalm (not managed), descent to The Maurachalm (managed), to the left to the Muggenfeldalm (path no. 42) and via the road (Almweg) to the Wandneralm. Over to the Kascheggalm and via Steig to the AV-Way No. 712 and on this one to the Kleinarler Hütte (managed).

Kitzsteinalm, 3 hours

From the mountain station via AV-Wege no. 713 and 712 to the Auhofalm, via forest road down to the junction with the Sauwaldstraße (No. 72), on the right until the next junction and on the right a few bends up to the Kitzsteinalm (managed alpine hut). Descent to Kleinarl.

Kitzsteinalm over fork, 4 hours

From the mountainstation via AV-Wege No. 713 and 712 to the Auhofalm (not managed). Via AV-Steig No. 712 steeply to the summit, sure-footedness and freedom from dizziness necessary. Just below the summit, descend south over the flank (secured with a steel rope) to walk around the "Seekar" (direction Kitzsteinkopf), turn right and descend steeply over a climb to the Kitzsteinalm.

About Gern to St. Johann im Pongau, No. 712, 4 hours

From the mountain station to the Sonntagskogel. Crossing to the Gern (1,787 m) and descent to St. Johann i. Pongau. Take the post bus back to Wagrain.
